The wave of the Fourth Industrial Revolution is also taking place in the manufacturing industry. Major developed countries are announcing smart manufacturing as an innovation policy to respond to the 4th industrial revolution and to cope with the crisis in the manufacturing industry. Korea also announced 'Manufacturing Industry Innovation 3.0' and is supporting SMEs led by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and KOSMO.
In this study, based on the data used in the development of the 6 domain model for measuring the maturity level of the smart factory, the characteristics of the smart factory implemented companies were analyzed, and a study was conducted to suggest a guideline for introducing the smart factory.
Cluster analysis was conducted using the k-means algorithm for data on companies that introduced smart factories. Through cluster analysis, it was confirmed that among the 6 domains-organization, system, process, integration, facility, and data-which are each area of maturity measurement, Process, Integration, and Equipment domains play a decisive role in dividing the cluster. In addition, through this study, various implications for the smart factory introduction support project and future research directions were presented.
