부산해양자연사박물관의 전시물과 교육 프로그램 실태 및 인식조사 = Survey of educational program status and awareness for exhibits of Busan Marine Natural History Museum

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 부산해양자연사박물관에서 운영하는 교육 프로그램의 유형 및 특징을 알아보고, 이 박물관의 전시물 및 교육 프로그램 참가자의 인식과 만족도를 조사하며, 박물관의 전시 및 교육 참여 효과를 높일 수 있는 방안을 제안하는데 있다. 실태 조사는 이 박물관의 전시물과 교육 프로그램 설명 자료의 분석, 여러 차례의 현장 조사 및 이 기관을 운영하는 학예연구사 중 1명과의 인터뷰를 통해 수행하였다. 이 박물관의 전시물과 교육 프로그램에 대한 인식과 만족도 조사는 교육 프로그램 참가자 155명을 대상으로 이루어졌다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 부산해양자연사박물관의 교육 프로그램은 워크숍이 가장 많았으며, 그 다음으로 이동식 박물관, 필드 트립, 페스티벌 및 특별 이벤트, 강연 및 강좌 순으로 나타났다. 설문 응답자들은 대체로 전시물과 교육 프로그램에 만족하였으나, 청소년과 성인층 대상의 교육 프로그램 활성화가 다소 부족한 것으로 나타났다. 이 박물관의 참여에서 가장 만족도가 높은 것은 학교 교육과는 차별화되는 교육 경험을 제공하는 것이었으며, 그 다음으로 높은 만족도를 보인 것은 재미와 흥미를 유발한다는 점이었다. 그러나 교육 내·외적인 측면에서 교육 프로그램의 소재 고갈, 교육방식 다양화에 대한 요구가 있었으며 박물관 시설의 전반적인 개선과 확충이 다소 필요한 것으로 조사되었다. 학예연구사의 인터뷰 결과도 설문조사 결과와 일치하는 경향을 보였다. 본 연구에서는 박물관의 전시물과 관람자의 상호 작용을 강화하고 교육적인 효과를 증진시키기 위한 방안으로 질문과 퀴즈, 시각 및 청각을 활용한 프로그램을 시범적으로 개발하였다. 이 프로그램의 잠정적 가치는 있지만 프로그램의 적용은 행·재정적인 문제 해결이 되어야 하므로 검증하지는 못하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to investigate the types and characteristics of educational programs operated by Busan Marine Natural History Museum, to investigate the awareness and satisfaction of participants in this museum, And to propose a measures that can enhance the effectiveness of museum exhibitions and participation. The survey was conducted through an analysis of exhibits and educational program explanations of this museum, several field surveys and interviews with one of the curators who run the institute. The awareness and satisfaction survey on exhibits and educational programs was conducted with 155 participants. The results of the study are as follows. Workshops were the most frequent program in the Busan Marine Natural History Museum, followed by travelling museums, field trips, festivals, special events, lectures and lectures. Survey respondents were generally satisfied with exhibits and educational programs, but the activation of educational programs for adolescents and adults was somewhat lacking. The highest satisfaction in participating in this museum was to provide educational experience different from school education, and the next highest satisfaction was fun and interest. However, there was a demand for the depletion of the education program and the diversification of the education system in the aspect of education and the external aspect, and it was found that overall improvement and expansion of the museum facilities were needed. Interviews with the curators showed a tendency to be consistent with the survey results. In this study, we developed a question and quiz, a visual and audiovisual program as a way to strengthen the interaction between the exhibits and visitors of the museum and the educational effect. Although there is a tentative value of this program, it has not been verified because the application of the program has to be financially and administratively solved.
