노인일자리 및 사회활동지원사업 참여특성이 노인의 성공적 노화에 미치는 영향 연구 : 참여만족도의 매개효과를 중심으로 = A Study on the Factors Affecting in Successful Aging through the Participants Characteristics on the National Senior Public Work(NSPW) program : Focusing on mediating effects of participation satisfaction

국문 초록 (Abstract)

노인일자리 및 사회활동지원사업은 사업 초기 유형과 조건에서 10여년이 지난 지금 양적, 질적 측면에서 상당한 변화를 겪어왔다. 특히 사업의 주요 유형과 참여조건 등의 변화가 시대사회의 요구에 따라 달라져왔으나 이러한 변화특성에 관한 논의들은 상대적으로 부족한 편이다. 이에 본 연구는 노인일자리 및 사회활동지원사업에 참여한 노인들의 성공적 노화에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 참여유형과 참여효과 등 참여특성을 중심으로 분석하고자 한다. 특히 노인일자리 및 사회활동지원사업의 참여특성과 성공적 노화의 관계에서 기존 연구에서는 단순한 인과관계를 중심으로 논의하였으나 보다 심층적인 분석을 위해 참여만족도의 매개효과를 검증하였다. 이를 통해 노인일자리 및 사회활동지원사업 참여노인의 성공적 노화에 긍정적으로 기여할 수 있는 실천방안을 보다 구체적으로 모색해보고자 한다.
연구를 위해 대전‧충남지역에 소재한 노인복지관중 협조를 허락한 9개 기관에서 노인일자리 및 사회활동지원사업에 참여하고 있는 만 65세 이상의 노인을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 그 결과 290명에 대해 완료된 조사자료를 SPSS 18.0 프로그램을 이용해 분석하였는데, 그 주요 연구 결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 참여유형별 성공적 노화 수준과 참여만족도의 수준의 차이를 검증한 결과 성공적 노화 수준의 평균은 경륜전수활동이 가장 높게 나타났고 노노케어가 가장 낮게 나타났다. 참여만족도는 시장형이 가장 높게 나타났고 노노케어가 가장 낮게 나타났다.
둘째, 노인일자리 및 사회활동지원사업 참여노인의 인구사회학적 특성 중 성공적 노화와 참여만족도에 유의미하게 나타난 요인을 분석한 결과 성공적 노화는 인구사회학적 특성 중 건강상태에 따라 유의미한 차이를 나타냈다. 참여만족도는 인구사회학적 특성 중 교육수준과 배우자 유무, 건강상태에 따라 통계적으로 유의미한 차이를 나타냈다.
셋째, 노인일자리 및 사회활동지원 사업 참여특성과 성공적 노화, 참여만족도에 유의미하게 나타난 요인을 분석한 결과 성공적 노화와 참여만족도 모두 참여유형, 참여기간, 참여효과, 참여동기와 유의미한 차이를 나타냈다.
넷째, 노인일자리 및 사회활동지원사업 참여특성과 성공적 노화와의 관계에서 참여만족도 매개효과의 분석결과 참여만족도의 매개효과가 통계적으로 유의미하게 나타났으며 참여만족도는 참여효과와 성공적 노화 관계에서 부분매개효과를 나타냈다.
이러한 결과를 바탕으로 노인일자리 및 사회활동지원사업에 참여하고 있는 노인의 성공적 노화 수준을 향상시키기 위해서는 활동에 맞는 참여조건을 설정하고 참여자의 특성을 반영하어 참여하도록 한다. 그리고 참여효과를 높일 수 있도록 참여자의 긍정적 변화를 위한 지지가 필요하다. 참여자의 참여만족도를 높이기 위한 사회복지실천 또한 필요하며 참여만족도를 높이기 위해서는 참여자의 건강상태, 교육수준, 배우자 유무 등 참여자의 특성에 맞는 활동에 참여하게 하도록 한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The National Senior Public Work(NSPW) program has been through a considerable change during the past ten years or so concerning the type and condition, both quantity and quality-wise. In particular, the major types and participation condition have changed by the demands of the present times, whereas the discussions following such change characteristics are relatively lacking. Hence, this study intends to analyze the affecting factors of the National Senior Public Work(NSPW) program participated senior citizens’ successful aging, focusing on the participation characteristics such as participation types and effect. In the relationship between senior citizens’ the National Senior Public Work(NSPW) program participation characteristics and successful aging, only a simple cause and effect relationship was discussed in the precedent studies; however, this study verified the mediating effect of their participation satisfaction for a more profound analysis. The study thereby intends to seek specifically an action plan for a positive contribution to the program participants’ successful aging.
A survey was conducted to senimor citizens with age over 65 who are participating in the senior citizens’ the National Senior Public Work(NSPW) program in 9 senior welfare centers located in Daejeon and Chungnam which permitted the research cooperation. As a result, 290 completed copies were analyzed using SPSS 18.0 to find the following:
First, as a result of verifying the difference of successful aging and participation satisfaction level by participation type, the highest average of successful aging level was in the experience and 'the knowledge pass-on activity' while the lowest was in 'the elderly care for the elderly' ; participation satisfaction of 'the market-style' marked the highest, while 'the elderly care for the elderly' marked the lowest.
Second, as a result of analyzing the significant factors shown in the project participated senior citizens’ sociodemographic characteristics-successful aging and participation satisfaction-, the successful aging had a significant difference in the health condition, another one of the sociodemographic characteristic. In the same characteristics category, the participation satisfaction had a statistically significant difference depending on their education level, the presence of a spouse, and health condition.
Third, as a result of analyzing the significant factors in the program participation characteristics, successful aging, and participation satisfaction, both successful aging and participation satisfaction had a significant difference in the participation type, period, effect, and motives.
Fourth, in the relationship between the program participation characteristics and successful aging, the mediating effect of participation satisfaction was statistically significant, with participation satisfaction showing a partial mediating effect in the relationship between participation effect and successful aging.
With the above results as a basis, it is necessary to set a proper participation condition that fits the activity and reflect the characteristics of the participants to enhance their successful aging level. Also, support for the participants’ positive change is in need for their participation effect rise. Social welfare service is also necessary, and their appropriate participation that fits their characteristics such as health condition, education level, the presence of a spouse, etc. is to be guided.
