Imundong 'Dokkomari' Archives Movement and Community Policy of Seoul

Due to the paradigm shift in archival science, concerns of the academic world in Korea has been pluralized, especially in community and community archives. Moreover, community was a social issue since the urbanization, which causes social problems, has been speeded up.
The purpose of this thesis is to summarize the community policy of seoul and to suggest the needs of its’ archives, not only public- but also in private domain, and try to create private community archives. As a example of community archives in private domain, this thesis looked into Dokkomari, which participated in Seoul community support project from 2013 to 2015.
Former studies or projects of community archives mainly based on collective archives focusing on locality. To plan Dokkomari Archives, this thesis referred not to the perspective of life cycle model, but rather records continuum. Because records continuum was better to understand the relation between records and activities in Dokkomari and the process of evidence and memories, which anchored at medium or records and extends from individual to community.
