미중 패권 경쟁구도와 중국의 대한반도 정책 분석

Today, upsurge of China as an axis which have a great impact on world is seriously being watched by East Asia, and the whole world. With this upsurge of China, US is taking strategy which contains 'Pivot to Asia', throughout consolidation of allied nations and active intervening strategy.
This strategy of US for East Asia has a closely related with national interests of China. Therefore China tries to make various efforts for maintaining a 'core interests' and seizing the initiative on East Asia.
As for China, East Asia is not only a extraordinarily meaningful place for it’s history and culture, but also as an aspect of politic, national security, economy.
When it comes to politic and national security, the peace and stability of East Asia boarded with 15 Asian counties are essential for sustainable economic growth of China.
Purpose of this study is, Firstly, taking a close look on how the state of China in East Asia changes. In second, to speculate changes of foreign policy of China toward South, North Korea by analyzing problematic factors like allies, friendship, conflict which could take place in Korean Peninsula that has the possibility of being competition with US and China. Lastly, to understand foreign policy of Korea by which analyzing a policy would be set to work by China toward Korean Peninsula.
Challenge of China and corresponding strategy of Us was thoroughly examined to develop this theory. Domestic, foreign publications, several books, reports of research institute, collected data from internet was utilized for the examination trying to figure out what the main competing issues are between US and China, and how these factors are affecting our Korean Peninsula.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

오늘날 세계를 움직이는 한 축으로 중국의 부상에 대해 동아시아와 세계는 주목하고 있다. 이러한 중국의 부상과 맞물려 미국도 ‘아시아로의 귀환(pivot to Asia)’을 생각하며 적극적인 개입정책과 동맹의 강화를 통한 동아시아 전략을 펴고 있다.
이와 같은 미국의 동아시아 전략은 중국의 국익과도 밀접한 관련이 있으며, 동아시아의 주도권과 ‘핵심이익’을 지키기 위해 중국도 다양한 노력을 기울이고 있다.
중국에게 있어 동아시아는 역사적·문화적으로 중요한 의미를 갖는 지역일 뿐만 아니라 정치·안보 및 경제적 측면에서도 국가이익과 밀접한 관련을 지닌 지역이다. 정치·안보적 측면에서 아시아의 15개국과 국경을 접하고 있고, 동아시아 지역의 평화와 안정은 중국의 지속적인 경제발전에 필수적 조건이 되고 있다.
이와 같은 상황에서 본 연구를 하게 된 배경은 동아시아에서 중국의 위상 변화에 대해 우선 살펴보고, 21세기가 진행되는 현 상황에서 한반도를 중심으로 미국과 중국의 경쟁이 이루어지면서 동맹 및 우호, 대립 상황 등 발생할 수 있는 갈등요인들을 분석하여 중국의 남북한에 대한 정책 변화내용을 고찰, 최종적으로는 중국이 향후 추진하게 될 대한반도 정책을 분석함으로써 향후 대한민국의 대외정책에 대한 함의를 살펴보는데 있다.
이러한 논제를 전개시키기 위해 문헌조사를 통하여 중국의 도전과 미국의 대응전략을 비교․검토하였고 이러한 비교연구를 위해 국내외 서적은 물론 학술연구기관의 각종 논문, 단행본, 보고서 및 인터넷에서 등 각종 자료를 활용하여 현재 미국과 중국의 경쟁 쟁점이 무엇이고 이러한 요소들이 어떻게 우리 한반도에 영향을 미치는지 알아보고자 하는 내용이다.
