A survey of the North Korean Records Management, as seen through North Korean materials

This study started from the understanding North Korea more as a view of record before unification and awareness to be important to understand the record management and actual state of others to reduce the gap in the system of the record management after unification furthermore.

This manuscript practically approached the grasp about the present condition the documentary and the record management institution of North Korea. It was needed to make a chance to check the reality of South Korea again and pave the way for understanding by analyzing the management system for the record management of North Korea.

It debated the reality for the record management of that through the record and data of North Korea. and nearly approached reliable specific data and records. The subject of analysis is the various rules about record management of North Korea, the source book of that and the contents of interview of resident escaping from that. It focused on the actual management system for record management and the process of North Korea. For this, It helped rudimentary understanding of concept by studying the composition of the literary law related law and grasped the arrangement about literary data, a focus for Record keeping, productive principle system of record management and management system. That is to say to treat the institutional examination in the first half and actual management system of institution for record management in the latter half.

It searched for the institutional system for management of record of North Korea through a rule to progress this study in the second chapter. and investigated the concept of literature that means record in North Korea, the laws and rules for the management of record of North Korea. It studied the main articles like structures and contents and introduced the rules about document handling and the literary law of North korea like the method of management for documentaries and regulations governing efficient management of administrative Affairs of South Korea. Especially, the detailed rules enabled detailed analysis for the record management of North Korea. Also, introduced of main organizations to manage and archive for documentaries in North Korea.

In the third chapter, it suggested concretely the reality for management of record in North Korea through the interview data and records of that and the actual system of management of record and organizations, structure and roles of the manager especially, searched the reality, the present condition and management of documentaries dividing between active records and non-active records according to a kind of records.

This study considered the main special parts to understand the traditional management methods about records of North Korea within the range to approach at present time and actual examples to analyse in this work enabled to applicate as a standard to construct the operating menu for management of record of North Korea from now on.
