      The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of smartphone addiction tendency on the memory of word and figure and executive function. 16 subjects were group of smartphone addiction tendency, 15 subjects were comparative group. The Questionnaire of smartphone addiction tendency for preschool and early elementary school children was administered to parents and Word Order and Number Recall of K-ABC, Rey-Kim's Memory Test for Children, Vocabulary and Matrices reasoning of K-WISC-IV were adminisered to preschool children.
      The results of this study are as follows:
      First, word memory of smartphone addiction tendency group was lower than comparative group. But there is no difference in memory of number between smartphone addiction tendency group and comparative group.
      Second, the perception and memory of complex figure were lower in smartphone addiction tendency group than that of comparative group.
      Third, executive function in smartphone addiction tendency group was lower than that of comparative group. This suggests that smartphone addiction tendency group shows lower self-regulation and higher impulsivity than comparative group.
      Fourth, there was no difference in general intelligence between smartphone addiction tendency group and comparative group.
      The significance of this study is that smartphone addiction and addiction tendency has the negative effect on the memory of word and figure, perception of figure and executive function in preschool children.
