Second, will there be difference in child care teachers' job satisfaction according to directors' servant leadership level?
Third, what about influence of servant leadership in child care center directors upon job satisfaction among child care teachers?
The subjects of this study were sampled 196 child care teachers who work at national & public, corporate, private, and home child care centers where are located in Seoul Metropolis and were analyzed by using questionnaire.
The questionnaire for this study was referred to Livovich(1999)'s questionnaire, and Yun Seong-hui(2011)'s questionnaire, which used by modifying terminology in line with the organization of the child care facilities in order to measure sub-behavioral characteristics on servant leadership of child care center directors. This study used a tool that is composed of totally 17 items. A response form to each item was allowed to be responded with Likert's 5-point scale. Reliability of measurement tool, which was used in this study, was analyzed by calculating Cronbach’s α coefficient as for 17 items.
To measure teachers' job satisfaction, Noh Jong-hui(2001)'s teacher job satisfaction questionnaire was used. As totally 23 items, they are composed of questions about child care teachers' job satisfaction. A response method of questionnaire based on questionnaire items was set for the self-reported questionnaire. Likert's 5-stage rating scale was used.
Summarizing the results of this study, they are as follows.
First, the difference in recognition of directors' servant leadership wasn't significant according to child care teachers' academic background and age, the working career of the current facilities, the total working career of the child care facilities, and child care license.
Second, job satisfaction was the highest in coworker satisfaction and the lowest in salary satisfaction. The satisfaction with task, salary and welfare in job satisfaction was significant according to directors' servant leadership level. However, the satisfaction with promotion, coworker, and senior was insignificant.
Third, the director's servant leadership was significant with listening attentively, persuasion, curing, cognition, insight, member's growth, and steward consciousness, but was insignificant with community formation.
Synthesizing and seeing this research, it confirmed that there is no difference in recognition of directors' servant leadership according to child care teachers' background variables. It could be known that the child care teachers' job satisfaction is high in child care teachers with high recognition on directors' servant leadership and that the child care teachers with high recognition on directors' servant leadership have the higher job satisfaction than the child care teachers with low recognition on directors' servant leadership.
