Intelligence has known decline over aging. At recent, age effect for intelligence depend on domain of cognitive abilities. The purpose of this study was to find the age-related score dispersion in Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale-IV Korean Version (K-WAIS-IV). Participants in this study were normative sample of K-WAIS-IV (n=1228, South Korean adults). Raw subtest means and standard deviations for each age group were calculated from the K-WAIS-IV normative manual along with the coefficient of variation (CV), a measure of score to compare with relative variabilities. Multivariate analysis of covariance (MANCOVA) was performed to find age and education effect for subtest performance. The effect of age group for raw subtest score was statistical significant (V=0.93, F(165, 13321)=7.46, p<.001, partial η2=.09). The effect of year of education for raw subtest score was also statistical significant (V=0.35, F(15, 1201)=43.35, p<.001, partial η2=.35). In subtest level, relative large education effect and small age effect were noted Verbal Comprehension subtests and Arithmetic, on the other hand relative small education effect and large age effect were noted Perceptual Reasoning subtests, Process Speed subtests, and Working Memory subtests except Arithmetic. These findings represent discrete effect of age and education across cognitive domain. Educational distribution seem to be affecting the age-related changes in score dispersions
