부모의 지지와 통제 및 학교생활 적응이 남녀 청소년의 자살생각에 미치는 영향 : 우울의 매개효과를 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 부모의 지지와 통제(부의 지지와 통제, 모의 지지와 통제) 및 학교생활 적응이 남녀 청소년의 자살생각에 미치는 영향에 대해 알아보는 것이다. 이에 따른 연구문제는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 청소년의 성별에 따라 부모의 지지와 통제, 학교생활적응, 우울 및 자살생각에 유의한 차이가 있는가? 둘째, 부모의 지지와 통제(부의 지지와 통제, 모의 지지와 통제), 학교생활적응 및 우울이 남녀 청소년의 자살생각에 미치는 상대적 영향력은 어떠한가? 셋째, 부모의 지지와 통제 및 학교생활적응이 남녀 청소년의 자살생각에 미치는 영향을 우울이 매개하는가?
연구문제의 해결을 위해 서울 소재의 2개 중학교와, 경기도 지역 소재의 4개 중학교 2-3 학년 학생 총 1000명을 대상으로 질문 조사를 실시하였다. 그 중, 회수된 질문지는 총 975부였으며, 조손가정이거나, 편부모가정 중 한쪽 부모를 만나지 않고 있는 경우와(이혼과 별거 중인 부모가 있음에도 불구하고, 한 쪽 부모를 정기적으로 만난다고 보고된 질문지는 포함) 사별한 경우, 불성실하게 응답하거나 응답이 누락된 경우를 제외한 671부(남학생 357부, 여학생 314부)만을 분석 하였다. 자료 분석 방법으로는 SPSS Win 12.0을 이용하여 빈도분석, 평균, 표준편차, t-검증, Pearson의 상관분석, 단계적 중다회귀분석, 위계적 중다회귀분석으로 통계처리 하였다.
본 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 남자 청소년이 여자 청소년에 비해 부의 심리적 통제를 더 높게 지각하는 것으로 나타났다. 반면, 여자 청소년은 남자 청소년에 비해 모의 행동적 통제를 더 높게 지각하고, 자살생각을 더 많이 하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 남자 청소년의 자살생각을 예측하는 변인들은 우울, 교우관계, 학교수업의 순으로 나타났고, 여자 청소년의 자살생각을 예측하는 변인들은 우울, 모의 심리적 통제 순으로 나타났다. 셋째, 남자 청소년의 경우, 우울은 부모의 지지와 통제, 교사관계, 학교수업, 학교규칙이 자살생각에 미치는 영향을 완전매개 하지만, 교우관계가 자살생각에 미치는 영향을 부분매개 하는 것으로 나타났다. 반면, 여자 청소년의 경우, 우울은 부의 지지와 통제, 모의 지지와 행동적 통제, 학교생활 적응의 모든 하위요인이 자살생각에 미치는 영향을 완전매개 하지만, 모의 심리적 통제가 자살생각에 미치는 영향을 부분매개하는 것으로 나타났다.
본 연구는 부모의 지지와 통제, 학교생활 적응 및 우울이 남녀 청소년의 자살생각에 미치는 영향을 알아보고, 부모의 지지와 통제 및 학교생활 적응이 남녀 청소년의 자살생각에 미치는 영향에 대한 우울의 매개효과를 살펴보았다. 본 연구는 청소년의 성별을 구별하여, 남자 청소년과 여자 청소년의 자살생각에 영향을 미치는 요인들과 그 경로를 분석하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 이러한 연구 결과가 청소년의 자살 예방을 위한 프로그램 개발 및 상담·심리치료 장면에 도움이 될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The object of this study is to determine the influence of parental support, control (Father's support and control, mother's support control) and settling into their school life on the thought of adolescents' suicide. Research problems are as follows. First, is there any difference of influence of parental support, control and settling into their school life on the thought of adolescents' suicide according to their sex and year? Second, does it exist an relative influence that of parental support, control and settling into their school life on the thought of male and female adolescents' suicide? Third, does depression cause influence of parental support, control and settling into their school life on the thought of adolescents' suicide?
This study was enacted to hand out questionnaires to 2nd and 3rd graders of 2 middle schools in Seoul and 4 in Kyoungi-do. 975 questionnaires were returned and 329 were not selected because they are grandparent raising grandchild families, single-parent families, and don’t meet a parent (include cases of meet both of parents although divorce and separation.) parents were bereaved and no response. So analyzed 671 questionnaires. (357boys and 314girls.) To analyze data compile statistics analysis of frequency, average, standard deviation, t-test, correlation analysis, stepwise regression and hierarchial regression analysis with SPSS Win 12.0.
Research result is as in the following. First, male adolescents recognized higher father’s psychological control than female adolescents. Female adolescents recognized higher mother’s behavior control and than male adolescents and they thought of suicide frequently than male adolescents. Second, stimulus variable of thought of suicide for male are in order of quantity depression, relation of friends, school class. And the case of female depression and mother’s psychological control were the biggest variables. Judging from this depression is the most influent variable to the thought of suicide. Third, parental support and control, friend relationship, school class, school law were found to have a full mediating effect on the thought of male adolescents' suicide. But, friend relationship adjustment was found to have a partial mediating effect on the thought of male adolescents' suicide. Father's support and control, mother's support and behavior control and school life were found to have a full mediating effect on the thought of female adolescents' suicide. But, mother's psychological control was found to have a partial mediating effect on the thought of female adolescents' suicide.
This study was written to know the influence of parental support, control (Father's support and control, mother's support control) and settling into their school life on the thought of adolescents' suicide. Furthermore, it has important meanings because this study investigate the way to influence thought of suicide for male and female adolescents by distinguish sex. I expect this research result will help suicide prevention program development, counseling and psychotherapy.
