The purpose of this research is to examine the effects of child care teachers’ resilience and job satisfaction on their turnover intention. In order to achieve this purpose, 278 child care teachers participated in an self-report survey. Correlation analysis, hierarchical regression analysis, t-test, and F-test were used to analyze the data. The results of this research were as follows.
In case of unmarried child care teachers, the lower their job satisfaction due to its subfactors such as job characteristics and organizational climate, the higher their turnover intention. In addition, the higher the efficiency of their interpersonal relationships, which was a subfactor of resilience, the higher their turnover intention. Meanwhile, In case of married child care teachers, the lower their satisfaction due to their job’s characteristics, organization’s climate, and remuneration and treatment, which were subfactors of job satisfaction, the higher their turnover intention. The lower the grade of their optimistic attitudes, which were a subfactor of resilience, the higher their turnover intention. Therefore, it was recommended that the quality of child care and the in-service education programs implemented by directors of child care centers are developed in order to equip these centers with expertise and a humane quality.
