기록사진표현에 관한 연구 : 호남의 간이역 시리즈를 중심으로

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Nowadays the social interest on modernity is growing. As cultural institutions of registration business has been introduced, the conservation and utilization of modern cultural property have been fulfilled. Some of the buildings among modern cultural properties are being owned by national or local governments so that many people are able to use it easily in public. And there are two cases. One is to maintain its own purpose for sustainable utilization. Another is to change its own purpose for a new utilization.
But most of the modern properties leave alone. So there are many requests to renovate those properties for its economic value. Even it has short period of renovation and more valuable than other cultural assets, but it is underestimated by people.
The purpose of this study is to find the current situations of modern properties which are important proof and elements of history in Jeon-la province in view of considering the originality of local building culture and historical situations.
The representative examples of modern cultural heritage which are vanishing these days are the way stations. " Space " implies a lot for us. Because we can see the life and culture of each time. " Space " makes us realize the life style and patterns like window as we dwell in the space. The modern time and space in Korea, it produces various conversations in our current cultural situation. " Space "has important meaning to understand contemporary life style and culture. So I want to see the history and culture through the way stations.
This photographic work reflects the generations as a realistic record and shall be the observer which help us to see our generations. With this view point, the way stations shall be remembered as an icon which represents the generations even though it is getting disappeared because of economic development. I hope this work shall remain as a trace. When you look at the pictures, the historical trace of the way stations will testify the situations of its generations. This study implies the record of modern way stations, one of the representative cultural inheritance, through the form of documentary pictures.
And this work also means the worth of the way stations which have the history of railway and modern transportation. The current stations are huge and magnificent. But I would like to record its own beauty of the way stations before they are gone into the history.
