A Disc Type Continuous Centrifuge(DHC Centrifuge) divides substance from the liquid phase through administering centrifugal force to the liquid sample. The force is created by high speed spinning of the central spindle, which causes frictional heat between the spindle and the liquid sample as well as the spindle and the bearing that supports the spindle, resulting in the elevation of temperature inside the chamber. Existing continuous centrifuges cools down the chamber by simply circulating coolant through the external jacket of the centrifuge. However, this method didn’t solve the problem that causes significant damage to liquid samples that are susceptible to temperature such as samples for biotechnological, pharmaceutical, biological applications.
In order to solve this problem, a cooling system that can steadily control the internal temperature while maintaining internal temperature of the chamber of the DHC centrifuge is essential.
It is an important task to design and develop a cooling system that can effectively control the temperature of the internal and cover lid of the DHC centrifuge.
Finally, we suggested the DHC centrifuge with cooling system which can anticipate the stable and effective separation and harvesting of industrial micro organisms in bioindustry. As a result, we can advance not only domestic but global market with this system.
