      본 연구는 아동이 지각한 부부갈등 및 아동의 정서표현양가성과 문제행동에 대한 일반적인 특징을 살펴보고, 아동이 지각한 부부갈등과 어머니의 갈등대처방식은 아동의 정서표현양가성과 문제행동과 어떠한 관계를 보이는지 살펴보고자 하였다. 마지막으로 어머니의 갈등대처방식에 따라 아동이 지각한 부부갈등과 아동의 정서표현양가성과 문제행동은 어떠한 관계를 보이는지 알아보았다.
      연구대상은 춘천시, 대구광역시, 서울․경기, 경남 창원․김해․창녕의 초등학교 5,6학년 남녀 아동 320명과 어머니 320명을 대상으로 아동에게는 아동이 지각한 부부갈등척도(CPIC), 정서표현 양가성 척도(AEQ-K), 문제행동척도(K-YSR)를 어머니에게는 부부갈등척도와 갈등대처척도를 포함하는 설문조사를 실시하였다.
      본 연구를 통해 얻은 결과는 첫째, 아동이 지각한 부부갈등은 아동의 정서표현양가성과 문제행동에 유의미한 영향을 미쳤다. 구체적으로, 아동이 안녕에 대한 위협지각을 할 경우에 정서표현양가성에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고, 부부관계에 대해 취약하다고 느끼는 것이 문제행동에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 아동이 지각한 부부갈등이 높을 경우에 아동은 어머니가 소극적 대처를 많이 할 때에 더 정서적 안정감을 느끼고 갈등이 해결되었다고 지각할 수 있음을 보여주고 있다.
      본 연구는 이러한 결과를 통해 아동이 지각한 부부갈등이 아동의 역기능적인 정서관련 특성과 문제행동에 영향을 미치는 하나의 기제임을 확인할 수 있었고, 어머니의 갈등대처방식보다는 아동이 부부갈등을 지각한 여부에 따라 아동의 정서표현양가성과 문제행동이 더 큰 영향을 받는다는 것을 알 수 있었다.
