This trend continued until South Korean's economic outcome overtaken North Korean's one by the end of 1980s. However, at the same time of collapse of Cold War, North Korean's unification strategies were faltering. Unification policy was not unification under communism and for survival of its state, South Korean policy modified towards peaceful existence. South Korean Policy was not curbed physically and spiritually from unification policy in the period of Post-Cold War. In this time, North Korean's two policies adapted political environment and its features were realism, after the 2000 South-North Korean summit, these policies changed towards realism and utilitarianism.
North Korean unification strategies were more focused on the national reconciliation than revolution of Korean Peninsular since 2000s.
