This paper's main theme is the deduction of the transcendental ideas. With the deduction, Kant confirmed the objective validity of the three ideas, which are Soul, World, and God. But till now, this part of the first Critique was not dealt seriously by Kant scholars.
This paper is against to the general reading of the deduction of the transcendental ideas. First, Kant's own words are examined in a positive way. I guess the deduction of the ideas is the sum of two deductions, which are `metaphysical' and `transcendental', as of the categories. And each of them is entangled with Kant's whole philosophy as an organism.
Second, secondary papers which published in the U.S., the U.K., and South Korea are examined. The opponent of the deductions are W.H. Walsh, P.F. Starwson, Norman Kemp Smith, Robert B. Pippin, and Patricia Kitcher. The advocates of the deductions are Nicholas Rescher, Michelle Grier, and Young-ahn Kang. This review's aim is to make a wide view of the secondaries.
