상호텍스트성(Intertextuality) 개념을 활용한 외국 문학 읽기 : <문학>교과서 수록 작품을 중심으로 = A Reading foreign literatures using the Inter-textuality concept

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 효과적으로 외국문학을 읽기 위한 방법으로 상호텍스트성을 활용한 읽기 방법을 제시하였다. 상호텍스트성의 개념을 소설 읽기에 도입하여 상호 관련된 작품을 읽고, 이를 통해 외국 문학 작품을 효과적으로 이해할 수 있도록 하고자 하는데 목적이 있다.
특히 외국 문학을 상호텍스트적 관점에서 읽어 볼 수 있도록 내용 요소들을 구분해 보았다. 상호텍스트성을 논할 수 있는 방법은 다양하지만 특히 개별 작품을 분석하였을 때 발견되는 작품의 유사점을 바탕으로 논의해 보았다.
연구 대상이 되는 작품들은 <阿Q정전>, <변신>, <노인과 바다>, <목걸이>, <데미안> 이었다. <阿Q정전>은 왜곡된 시대관을 가지고 살았다는 점에서, 채만식의 <치숙>과, <변신>은 모티프와 주제와 관련하여 최인호의 <타인의 방>과, <노인과 바다>는 인물의 직업과 공간배경과 관련하여 천승세의 희곡 <만선>과, <목걸이>는 단편 소설로서의 형식과 표현 기법과 관련하여 염상섭의 <운수 좋은 날>과, <데미안>은 장르와 주제 면에서 이문열의 <젊은 날의 초상>과 관련성을 탐구하였다.
그러나 본 연구에서 제시된 대표적인 세계문학 작품은 각각 중국, 독일, 미국, 프랑스 등 이른바 서구문학의 대표적인 작품이기도 하다. 때문에 제3세계로 문학의 지평이 확장되는 시류를 충분히 반영하지 못하였다는 점이 한계로 지적될 수 있다. 차후의 논의에서 이러한 한계점이 극복된 한국문학과 세계문학의 연관성 탐구가 이루어지길 기대한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

As a method of reading foreign literatures efficiently, this study presents the reading technique applying inter-textuality. It aims at making you understand foreign literatures efficiently by reading the related literatures with the concept introduction of inter-textuality to novel-reading.
Especially, factors of contents have been classified to read foreign literatures in the inter-textuality point of view. There are various ways to discuss the inter- textuality, but here is investigated based on the similarity of literary works which are discovered while analyzing the individual works. The subjects of the study were <The True story of Ah Q>, <Metamorphosis>, <The Old Man and the Sea>, <The Necklace > and <Demian>.
This study has investigated correlations of the following literatures; <The True story of Ah Q> correlating with <Chisuk> by Mansik Chae in the respects that these two are based on the distorted point of view on the times, <Metamorphosis> with < the Room of others> by Inho Choi in regards with the motive and topic, <The Old Man and the Sea> with the drama <Full load of fish> by Seungse Cheon regarding job of the character and background, <The Necklace > with <Luck Day> by Sangseob Yeom regarding the form as a short story and flash-forward, and <Demian> with <Portrait of the Days of Youth> by Moonyeol Lee regarding a genre and subject.
The greatest world’s literatures presented in this study are also representative works of the Western literatures such as China, Germany, USA and Franceetc.
Thus, it could be pointed out that this study has not sufficiently reflected a new horizon in the literary field which is being extended to the 3rdworld.
I expect that correlations between Korean literatures and World literatures can be more deeply investigated beyond this limitation in future.
