영화 기록의 기술에 관한 연구

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Archival materials in Film Archives is a memories and archival documents of human which is generated from cultural activities of human beings, and provided long-term relevant information. However, it is different the general public audio-visual records are different because the main purpose of representing culture to create the contents of the private sector rather than evidence of the factual information of public service activities. Therefore, we should determine the historical and compositional information in order to reflect the description of the specific physical and intellectual characteristics.

This study argues the concepts and the compositions of archival materials in film archives and then focuses on the objects and the forms of a description about it. According to the result, that was organized with the product and a related information as well as a by-product. The collection groups should understand and the collective description of the idea of work.

So as to conduct the description, that is needed in the textual standards of the specific purposes and rules. On this account, I analyzed the international description standards as Dublin Core, General International Standard for Archival Description (2nd), The FIAF Cataloguing Rules for Film Archives. As a result, to describe rchival materials in film archives more effectively requires significant modifications rather than applying in the organizations of the areas and the elements.

In conclusion, this study suggests that first, to divide a description object as a work and item of archival materials in film archives. Second, to distinct among the areas for important information of description object. Third, to establish of the areas and the elements including a characteristic of it. Finally, the description standard organizes separately to 6th areas, 21th and 23th elements in two parts. The description standard does not prepare to refer the status and/or policy of a particular film archive, can be set accordingly to a specific element or sub-elements by the film archive.
