군악대가 군의 사기에 미치는 영향과 발전방향 연구 = The research on the influence of Military Band on the morale of military:and its development

국문 초록 (Abstract)

군악대는 악기의 발달 및 군대의 발생과 그 역사를 함께한다. 우리나라 군악대는 조선말기 근대화 과정에서 등장하고 해방 후 창군과 함께 창설되어 오늘에 이르기까지 민족의 역사와 함께 발전하여 왔다. 현재 육군에서는 직할부대, 군사령부, 각 사단 및 교육기관 등에 군악대가 존재하며, 각 지역에서 각기 다른 편성과 기능을 가지고 의식행사 및 축제 행사 지원, 관악연주회, 여흥활동 등 다방면에서 임무를 수행하고 있다. 부대 내 행사로는 각종 의식행사, 장병을 위한 연주활동, 행군복귀 및 신병입소 시 사기앙양 연주 등을 통한 다양한 역할을 하고 있다.
21세기에 접어들면서 육군은 ‘강한친구 대한민국 육군’이라는 슬로건을 통해 국민과 화합하는 가운데 밝고 명랑한 군대생활을 할 수 있도록 여러 방면으로 최선의 노력을 다하고 있다. 이러한 군의 특성상 경직되어 있기만 한 부대 생활을 보다 활기가 넘치고 사기가 앙양될 수 있게 만들 수 있는 가장 소중한 매개체는 군의 음악문화조직인 군악대가 담당하고 있다고 해도 과언이 아닐 것이다.
하지만 현재의 군은 조직의 특성상 그러한 변화에 발맞추지 못하여 군대문화에서 음악이라는 중요한 매개체를 간과하고 있다. 또한 군악대의 활용가능성에 대한 사회 및 군 지휘부의 인식이 부족한 것으로 보인다. 현재 군악대는 군악이라는 병과가 독립되어 존재하지 않고 의식행사 위주 활동으로 군의 근간인 장병들을 위한 행사에 대한 비중이 적다.
앞에서도 언급한 바 있지만 군악대는 군의 유일한 문화예술집단이다. 군악대를 보다 효율적으로 활용하여 군의 사기 앙양에 가장 큰 도구로 더욱 활발하게 사용되어지기 위해서는 대내외의 관심과 자체적인 노력, 특히 장병들에게 군악대라는 존재를 많이 알려야 할 필요성이 있다.
따라서 본 연구는 군악대의 역사와 정체성 속에서 다시 한 번 입지를 확고히 하고 군악대가 군의 사기에 어떠한 영향을 주고 있으며 이러한 군악대의 음악활동이 단순한 군 내부의 부속기관으로서의 활동에 그치지 않고 더욱 잘 활용하기 위해서 우리가 지향해야 할 목표와 발전방향을 제시하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The military band was born together with the military and has been grown up with the development of musical instruments.
Korean military band appeared in the last stage of Chosun, which was in the middle of modernization. It was organized after the liberation, when Korean military was being organized. And it has developed in the history of the nation.
Currently in Korean army, there is army band in each directly controled force, army head quarter, educational institute and division. They are carrying out various duties on formal army events, wind orchestra concerts, civil festival, entertainments and so etc. As military events, they perform in the formal events, gigs for privates, street performance to raise the morale of the soldiers being on a march and to encourage the rookies.
In the 21^(st) century, Korean army is doing its best under the slogan of 'R.O.K Army the Strong Friend', for happy and bright army life and for harmony with civilians.
Army bands, the most valuable intermediation to invigorate and raise th morale of privates in the severe, strict army life. You can not say no.- 58 -
But, currently Korean army does not understand the importance of such intermediation well, because the army system is not capable enough to catch up on the recent changes. It seems that society and military commanders are not aware enough of the possibility of application of army bands.
As a result, there is no branch for army bands now so their activity range is limited and have only few gigs for the privates.
As stated above, army bands are the only cultural organizations of art. To use army band more effectively for the means of raising morale, the effort of army bands themselves and the interest of people(military or civil) is needed and it is necessary to make the existence of army bands known to the privates.
Thus, this article deals with the question; How does an army band influence the morale of army. And also it clarifies the identity of army bands.
Furthermore, I suggested the goal and the future course we have to head toward for improved application of army bands to avoid restricting them to a mere affiliated organization.
