    All living things and human live in environment. Therefore, living things and environment are inseparably related to each other and rive and take mutual influence. Also both keep in equilibrium against the outside influence by a great organic system, ecology.
    God created this world and said that "it was good." God give to man a duty to rule the world. Man was created as not a conqueror and destroyer but good steward. God created man in his own image. This indicate that man is a God's agent. But, the result of depravity, man lowed God's. image and riven up his duty and responsibility about the created world. Therefore, and changed in a plunderer and destroyer of nature environment. Consequently, the created world became full in dead and confusion disorder.
    After industry revolution, the development of science and technology have rived rise the betterment of life style and level. The elevation of living level following the development of science and technology have incurred the large quantity spending culture of natural resource and energy. As the result of that, ecology undergoes seriouse crisis of environment pollution and resource drying up. Today, the endeavor for preservation and recovery of ecology is not selective problem but survival problem and human's duty for created world.
    The purpose of this thesis presents the practice strategy of church for ecology preservation, recovery. For this work, I will look at biblical command and theological understand and direction and the viewpoint christianity ethics.
    Today, ecology face up to crisis circumstances like warm phenomenon of the atmosphere, the destruction of the ozone layer, acid rain, the pollution of water and soil, excess of supply of chemical material about soil, destruction of the torrid zone and desolation phenomenon, nuclear pollution, etc.. This all crisis state of ecology occurredfrom the humanistic world viewpoint and wrong value viewpoint of modern society and misunderstand about fault creation theology.
    The destruction of environment of environment by human is the destruction of creation order and it was produced from the destruction between God and human, human and a creature. The christian ethics concentrates this recovery of relationship. Accordingly, the problem of natural environment and ecology have to been dealt by christian ethics. But Korean church not recognize acutely about state of ecology on the 'viewpoint of christian ethics. In order to preservation and recovery of ecology is the share of church because church is the assembly of people who accomplish God's command.
    In order to effectively equal to environment protection movement, church has to work out a counter linking with enterprise and government, locality self-government, citizen group, etc.. In that matter, church has to present the vision for preservation and recovery of ecology.
    The preservation and recovery of ecology is a pressing quest is a pressing question but it is not suddenly accomplishmented. For the preservation and recovery of ecology, God's word after the creation that "it was good!" should be remembered and human's selfish world and value viewpoint should be renewed. We have to study and participate in the continuous investigation and active endeavor for preservation of ecology. We have to develop expand it in the universal dimension. The only key answer to solve the problem of ecology is that we recover the duty as a steward about creation world and love the nature as like our neighborhood.
