아동의 친사회적 행동 향상을 위한 나눔교육 프로그램의 적용 및 효과성 연구 = (A) study on the application and effectiveness of philanthropic education program for prosocial behavior of children

The purpose of this study is to make and apply the philanthropic education program for prosocial behavior of children and to analyze the effects of the program in children's prosocial behavior.The philanthropic education program for this study was based on research about theories of the philanthropic education, prosocial behavior and practical knowledge about how to teach and what to teach in philanthropic education program in these days. The structure of the program was designed as structured experimental group program. And the content of this program is composed of concepts, tradition, objects, process, institutions regarding philanthropy, and finally practical behavior of it.81 4th grade children from three elementary schools were in experimental group, another 81 4th grade children from the same schools were in controlled group. While the experimental group was structured to undergo the philanthropic education program 6 times, the controlled group did not have any treatment. In order to find out the effects of the experiment, pre-test and post-test were done.For investigation tool, the inspection paper for prosocial behavior was used, which was translated and adjusted by Soo-Yeon Kim(1995). Statistical analysis was done using SPSS program, and was analysed by mixed design using Repeated Measure ANOVA.The results can be concluded as followings.The prosocial behavior of the experimental group increased comparing to the controlled group and also to the pre-test. This result means the program is effective developing prosocial behavior of children. In addition, the effectiveness appealed in all subordinate concepts of prosocial behavior. Especially, it was more effective in helping, cooperating, rescuing and comforting behavior.In conclusion, in the field of education of elementary school, the philanthropic education program is a way to improve children's prosocial behavior. And the prosocial behavior of children becomes a base on philanthropic activities that they'll do in the future, so is helpful to them growing up with will and sociality to participate in society as a good citizen.Over all, the study implies that discussions in taking root and revitalizing the philanthropic education to encourage prosocial behaviors of children by more efforts of family, community and school.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 아동의 친사회적 행동 증진을 위한 나눔교육 프로그램을 제작하여 적용하고, 그 효과성을 알아보는 것을 목적으로 한다.본 연구를 위한 나눔교육 프로그램은 나눔교육과 친사회적 행동에 대한 이론적 검토와 현재 나눔교육 프로그램의 교육 방법 및 내용에 대한 실천적 지식을 토대로 본 연구자가 제작하였다. 본 프로그램은 형식적으로는 구조화된 경험적 집단 프로그램이고 내용면에서는 나눔에 대한 개념, 나눔의 전통, 나눔의 대상, 나눔의 방법, 나눔과 관계된 기관에 대한 내용을 담고 있으며 최종적으로 나눔을 실천하는 것으로 이어지고 있다.연구대상은 수도권의 각각 다른 3개 초등학교의 4학년 3개 학급 학생 81명이 실험집단으로, 각 실험집단의 같은 학교, 같은 학년의 다른 학급을 임의로 통제집단으로 선정하였다. 실험집단에는 6차시에 걸친 연구자가 제작한 나눔교육 프로그램을 진행하였고, 통제집단에는 보통의 수업활동을 진행하였다. 그리고 프로그램의 효과성을 검증하기 위해 사전·사후 조사를 하였다.측정도구는 Eisenberg(1989)의 이타성 자기보고식 검사를 김수연(1995)이 번안한 친사회적 행동검사를 수정하여 사용하였다. 또한 사전·사후 검사에서 수집된 자료의 통계처리를 위해 SPSS 프로그램을 사용하였으며, 본 연구의 목적인 효과 검증을 위해서는 반복측정 분산분석(Repeated Measure ANOVA)을 사용한 혼합설계(mixed design)를 하였다.본 연구에서 얻어진 연구결과를 기초로 다음과 같은 결론을 내릴 수 있다.본 연구의 나눔교육 프로그램을 실시한 실험집단의 친사회적 행동은 통제집단과 비교했을 때와 프로그램 실시 전후를 비교했을 때 증가된 것을 볼 수 있다. 이것은 본 연구의 나눔교육 프로그램이 아동의 친사회적 행동 향상에 효과가 있음을 보여준다. 아울려 친사회적 행동의 하위영역에서도 모든 영역에서 효과가 있었고, 특히 도와주기, 협동하기, 보호하기, 공감하기 영역에서 큰 효과가 있었다.이는 초등학교의 수업현장에서 나눔교육 프로그램이 아동의 친사회적 행동을 향상시킬 수 있는 방법으로 적합함을 보여주며, 이러한 친사회적 행동은 아동의 나눔활동의 기반이 되어 지역사회 안에서 아동들이 하나의 구성원으로서 참여할 수 있는 의지와 사회성을 갖춘 시민으로 자라나는데 큰 밑바탕이 될 것이다. 본 연구의 결과는 앞으로 나눔교육 프로그램을 정착시키고 활성화하기 위한 가정 및 지역사회, 그리고 학교의 적극적인 노력의 필요성을 시사해준다.
