      『열녀함양박씨전(烈女咸陽朴氏傳)』의 구조와 글쓰기 방식 = The Structure and The Way of writing of 「Yeleohamyangparksigeon(烈女咸陽朴氏傳)」

      This study is to reveal the structure and the sense of subject in 「Yel- eohamyangparksigeon」in terms of contexts and a way of writing of Yeon Am. Considering the point that the main reason of argument in inter- preting the writing comes from a unique form and a style of talking, this study approaches the writing with attention to Yeon Am`s way of writing. First of all, it looks into a structure of the writing. It makes the background of his writing inference from the title of writing found in the manuscript of Yeon Min Publication. The types of three widows are all typical possible cases which at that time of Chosun Dynasty all the others could experience. Yeon Am criticized the activity of excessive virtuous woman remained faithful to the deceased husband and stood by the lustful desire. He looked at the widow of remaining faithful to her deceased husband and Mrs. Park died in defense of her chastity, with an eye of pity. This issue is approached to be considered in a traditional writing of that time and Yeon Am`s writing style. The critical mind of 「Yeleo- hamyangparksigeon」looks serious, but not dangerous, because of the way of talking. Yeon Am talked with a lovely, warm heart, at the same time, he criticized the society. In his critics, a narrator talks to the direction from inner to external, in this writing of 「Yeleohamyangparksigeon」. He destines to inner, himself. This study finds the attitude of Yeon Am toward human. He has the attitude of warm heart to isolated human, even of weak points, but he has the attitude of critical mind to social structure and system of pressing human. The widow personally is a scapegoat in a society, in a social structure she is a prototype of excessive faithful woman died in defense of her chastity. Yeon Am made efforts to be a position of woman, not man, with full compassion to her. His talks and critics are toward the social reality leading her to the death. Most of noblemen criticized this book as a mere story of one woman overcoming her lustful desire, but Yeon Am`s real critical point is on the social reality which made human painful and dead. For Yeon Am, the key way is not only about the subject of argument itself, but also the way of making understand and persuading the world. In a mood of society where the activity of the widow remaining faithful to her deceased husband is a virtue, the direct dispute about it is no practical use. The effective way for him is to approach with tender, flexible mind and draw common understanding and agreement in a reasonable way. These kinds of background are found in 「Yeleohamyangparksigeon」which looks unclear and contradictory.
