학교생활 스트레스, 부모와의 갈등, 친구와의 갈등이 청소년의 자살사고에 미치는 영향 = 성차를 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

청소년 자살사고에 학교생활 스트레스, 부모와의 갈등, 친구와의 갈등이 미치는 영향에 있어서 남자 청소년과 여자 청소년 간 차이가 있는지를 밝혀보고자 하였다. 연구 대상은 경기도 소재 고등학교에 재학중인 남녀 고등학생 837명이었다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 남학생의 경우 학교생활 스트레스가 자살사고를 유의하게 설명하지만 부모와의 갈등은 자살사고에 영향을 미치지 않았고 학교생활 스트레스와 부모와의 갈등의 상호작용 효과는 나타나지 않았다. 여학생의 경우, 학교생활 스트레스가 자살사고에 영향을 미치고, 부모와의 갈등 역시 자살사고에 영향을 미치는 반면 상호작용 효과는 나타나지 않았다. 둘째, 친구과의 갈등에 있어서는 남학생의 경우 자살사고에 유의하게 영향을 미치지만 학교생활 스트레스와 친구 갈등과의 상호작용 효과는 나타나지 않았다. 여학생의 경우, 친구와의 갈등이 자살사고를 유의하게 설명하였고, 학교생활 스트레스와 친구와의 갈등의 상호작용 효과가 나타났다. 즉 친구와의 갈등이 높은 여학생의 경우 갈등이 낮은 집단보다 훨씬 더 민감하게 자살사고가 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 학교생활 스트레스가 자살사고에 미치는 영향에 있어서는 남학생과 여학생 간 차이가 없는 반면, 부모와의 갈등 및 친구관계 갈등은 여학생에게만 자살사고에 영향을 미친다는 점에서 성차를 나타내주었다. 이에 따라 자살예방적 대처 전략에 있어서 성차별적인 대처 전략의 필요성을 시사해주고 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to explore the influences of school-related stress, conflicts with parents, and conflicts with friends on the suicidal ideation of Korean male and female adolescents. A total of 837 male and female enrolled students were selected from 6 high schools located in Gyunggi Province for the survey. The results are as follows. For male students, school-related stress ha as significant influence on the suicidal ideation while conflicts with parents did not and these two do not have any interaction effect. For female students, school-related stress and also conflicts with parents have an influence on suicidal ideation but these two do not have any interaction effect. For male students, conflicts with friends have a significant influence on suicidal ideation but there is no interaction effect between school-related stress and conflicts with friends. For female students, conflicts with friends have a significant influence on suicidal ideation and with higher rates of friend conflicts showed an higher increase in the rate of suicidal ideation than the group with a lower rate. This study implies that the tremendous school-related stress that high school students feel has a close relation with suicidal ideation and in addition, for female adolescents, both conflicts with parents and trouble with peer relationship are more significant risk factors in suicidal ideation.
