「髮僧菴記(발승암기)」의 改作(개작) 樣相(양상)과 主題(주제)에 대한 비평적 분석 = A Critical analysis on the aspects of revision and theme of 「Balseongamgi(髮僧菴記)」

국문 초록 (Abstract)

「髮僧菴記」의 주인공 金弘淵이라는 인물에 대해 燕巖 朴趾源이 어떠한 시선을 지녔던가 하는 질문은 작품 주제의 파악과 긴밀한 연관을 갖는다. 또 한편으로 이 글의 제목 및 문체와 관련하여 왜 ‘記’라는 문체가 택해졌느냐에 대해 아직 합일된 정설에 이르지 못하고 있다. 본고는 이 두 가지 문제에 대해 논하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 「발승암기」를 분석하기 위해 異本 對照를 통해 改作 樣相을 論究함으로써 글의 주제와 제목에 관한 연암의 眞意가 무엇인가를 실증적으로 규명해보고자 하였다. 엄畵溪集 과 煙湘閣集 , 이 두 본을 주된 텍스트 비평 대상으로 삼아 改作 樣相을 분석한 결과, 김홍연에 대한 연암의 시선은 溫情的이었다고 볼 수 있다. 이 글은 작자의 주된 의도보다 이름에 집착하지 말라는 부수적인 교훈이 도드라지기 십상이다. 그러므로 연암은 그의 진의를 은근하게 표현하고자 매우 세심한 熟考 끝에 개작을 했던 것으로 여겨진다. 연암은 「발승암기」를 통해 김홍연에 대한 憐憫의 정을 표함과 동시에 세상에 크게 쓰일 인재가 인정받지 못하는 세태에 대한 悲憤을 說破하고자 했던 것으로 보인다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The Understanding of 「Balseongamgi(髮僧菴記)」`s theme is closely relat ed how Yeon-am(燕巖) Park Ji-won(朴趾源) looked at Kim Hong-yeon(金 弘淵) who is the main character in 「Balseongamgi」. Another issue is about the title of this literary work and style of writing why Yeon-am chose the ‘Gi(記)’ style. The purpose of this paper is to discuss these two problems in my view. To analysis the 「Balseongamgi」, I researched it`s revising aspect by comparing different versions, and tried to study Yeon-am`s real intention by using empirical evidence. As a result of contrasting different versions, Um-hwa-gye-jip(『엄畵溪集』) and Yeon-sang-gak-jip(『煙湘閣集』), it is po ssible to conclude that Yeon-am had compassionate heart toward Kim Hong-yeon. The theme of 「Balseongamgi」 is easy to be brought out incidental moral excluding the writer`s main purpose. So, I think that Yeon-am thought carefully and revise these sentences to express his real intention. Yeonam exposed the feeling compassion for Kim Hong-yeon and the indigna tion of remarkable person unrecognized by world.
