「예규지(倪圭志)」의 가정 경제학 = The Home Economics of Yekyuji(倪圭志)

I interpret Yekyuji(倪圭志) included in The Encyclopedia of Rural Life(林 園經濟志) by Seo Yoo-gu(徐有구, 1764～1845) in terms of the home economics. The aims of my study are (1) to topicalize economics as the important problem of the study of intellectual history of late Chosun period, (2) to investigate new methodology of the study of The Encyclopedia of Rural Life. That is to say, I explore new methodology of interpreting the whole contents included in The Encyclopedia of Rural Life as a kind of a construction of economic thought, while broadening the economic perspective of Shilhak(實學) study. Generally, the unilinear perception of the modern underpins the Shilhak study. Therefore, material affluence and urbanization etc. are regarded as the criterion of social development in Shilhak study. Reflecting on such unilinear perception of the modern, I explore richer concept of economics through the interpretation of Yekyuji.
