위기상담모델의 개발을 위한 탐색적 연구: 인지적 요인을 중심으로 = An Exploratory Study on Developing a Crisis Counseling Model: Cognitive Factors Considered

To explore the factors effective in crisis counseling, data from 80 college students and graduate students attending a local university who reported having had experienced a crisis in the past five years were collected. When asked to answer retrospectively based on their own experiences, 49 people expressed a high interest in receiving professional counseling, and 43 people believed it would be most helpful to provide counseling within a month of the crisis event. Meaning making was significantly correlated with current posttraumatic stress symptoms, however, benefit finding was not. The study discusses how the findings could be applied in developing a crisis counseling model.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

위기상담모델의 기초가 되는 인지적 개입 요인들을 탐색하기 위해 본 연구에서는 지방 대도시 소재 2개 대학의 대학생과 전문대학원 과정에 다니는 일반인 가운데 위기경험을 한 적이 있다고 보고한 80명으로부터 위기상담의 필요성 인식, 자신의 위기경험에 대한 의미화하기와 긍정성찾기 등의 인지적 재통합 시도 여부, 그리고 현재의 외상후 스트레스 증상 수준 등을 알아보았다. 사후보고식 조사 결과 49명 (51.4%)가 위기상담에 대해 높은 수준의 호감을 나타냈고, 43명 (53.8%)는 위기상담이 사건발생 한달 이내에 제공되어야 한다고 생각했으며 39%의 응답자들은 현재까지도 외상후 스트레스 증상을 중간 수준 이상으로 겪고 있었다. 의미화하기와 긍정성찾기의 요인들과 외상후 스트레스 증상과의 상관을 본 결과 의미화하기는 유의한 부적상관을 보인 반면 긍정성찾기는 유의한 관계가 나타나지 않았다. 이와 같은 결과들이 위기상담의 과정에 어떻게 적용될 수 있는지 논의하였다.
