정서,행동장애연구 : 유아의 기질, 부부갈등, 부모 양육행동이 유아의 외현화 문제행동에 미치는 영향 = Effects of Infant Temperament, Their Parents` Conflict and Parenting Behaviors on Externalizing Problem Behaviors of Infants

In order to explore the effects of temperament, parents` conflict, and parenting on preschoolers` externalizing problems, 321 preschoolers, 3-5 year old, were assessed using parent report measures of externalizing behavior problems(K-CBCL 1.5-5), temperament(K-JTCI), and parents` conflict, and parenting. The results of t-test, correlation analysis and hierarchical regression analyses are as follows. First, the boy group was higher than the girl group in attention problems, aggressive actions, termperament(Novelty Seeking:NS), parenting behavior(control). Second, the investigation into the correlation of preschoolers` temperament, their parents` conflict, and parenting behaviors, with externalizing problem behaviors. Third, the important predictors of preschoolers` externalizing problems were different by specific problem. In attention problems, parenting behavior(control) remained significant after controlling for high NS and parents` conflict in predicting externalizing problems. In aggressive actions, parenting behavior(neglect, reject) remained significant after controlling for high NS and parents` conflict in predicting externalizing problems. The results of this study highlight some important suggestions for prevention strategies for preschoolers` behavioral problems. The implications and limitations of this study were further discussed.
