This paper is a piece of the series of sutdies, continuously searching for Lee Myeong O(1750~1836)`s poetical works. While my early paper, A Study on Bagong, Lee Myeong O (1), was studied his seven-syllabic code verses of late twenties, this one chiefly studied his Hyangja eighty poems, written in his fifties, through his thirties to fifties. Hyangja eighty poems was written to use end rimes in the following procedures of Hyang(香, scent or fragrant), Bang(房, room), Jang(長, long), Jang(腸, intestine or heart), Mang(忙, busy), such styles of works were barely found in Chosun Dynasty poems. When his son, Lee Man Yong(李晩用) published his fathers poems, Selected poems of Bagong(泊翁詩抄), he selected 40 Pieces. We surveyed the foundation and backgound of these works and and discussed the significance of them. The characteristic of Lee Myeng O`s seven-syllabic code verses in the prime of his life, is closely correlated with the poetic activities of Dongsa(東社), a poetic circle, which is guided by Hong Rak Shin(洪樂信, 1739~1798) and Hong Rak Im(洪樂任, 1741~1801). To restore his father`s political rights, Lee Myeong O Participated this poetic circle. In these poetic gatherings, he created many seven-syllabic code verses with using same end rimes, owing to the poetic tastes of Hong Brothers, the leaders of this circle. While in this circle, he wrote poems under other member`s influences, Hyangja eighty poems were created by him originally and uniquely. In thoes days, he could not participate in Dongsa, due to unstable political situation and personal matters. So we think, he could erupt his creative poetical forces. The men who believe the function of the poem is the moral usefulness were very negative to these poetic works. but in Lee Myeong O`s case, he wrote them in order to display his creative abilities and originality.
