According to the poetic characteristics found in HakYen-Jung`s poems up until now, they are quite different from Yak-Yong Jung`s instructions which were based on “statecraft” and recommended his descendants to form Bo Tu as the role model in writing poems. It is obvious that Hak-Yeon Jung also pursued the sprit of “statecraft” and “history” in Yak-Yong Jung`s instruction. However, excluding Yak-Yong Jung`s another instruction, Hak-Yeon Jung formed other poets as his role model instead of Bo Tu, such Yu Wang and he aimed the aesthetic sprit in his poems. This paper attempted to shed light on how the sprit and philosophy in Yak-Yong Jung`s poems was succeed and was changed in the next generation`s poems by means of elucidating the relationship and the discrepancy between Yak-Yong Jung`s poems and Hak-Yeon Jung`s poems. Then, this paper found three relevant points in this research. Firstly, even though their role models (Bo Tu vs. Yu Wang) seems to purse the different world in their poems, Bo Tu and Yu Wang`s goals in their poems may be identical. Ultimately, Yak-Yong Jung and Hak-Yeon Jung respected the sprit of “the Book of Odes” and tried to express humans` personalities faithfully in their poems. Secondly, Yak-Yong Jung and Hak-Yeon Jung showed the positive attitude in their adverse circumstances, so their poems sincerely expressed the sense of sorrow based on their lives. Thirdly, the poems including the sense of sorrow was created in building the friendship with poems or in working at the poetry clubs and so their poems reflect the political realities and the atmosphere of intellects of their time. The succession and change of the sprit of Dasan`s poems show us an change aspect in the intellects` society when the politics and the society of Chosen Dynasty were infringed by the maternal relatives of the kings. In addition, the sprit of sorrow found in the poems written by Jung`s family members has the close relationship with the change of the political atmosphere and the literary circle.
