신자료『선암총서(船菴叢書)』의 발굴과『목민심서(牧民心書)』저술과정의 검토 = On the discovery of SeonAm series and the Writing process of Mogminsimseo

Mogminsimseo, Jeong Yagyong`s masterpiece, was translated in Korean many times. There are so many theses about it, but there is no one about the writing process because Jeong`s manuscript which could show the writing process didn`t remain. Mogminsimseo was made with collecting and grouping the reference from many other books, so the confirmation of writing process is necessary to structural understanding of Mogminsimseo. This thesis researched on the writing process of Mogminsimseo and the related subjects through SeonAm series(船菴叢書). As a result some new facts were discovered : The writer`s record was changed from editing and compilation(編輯) to editing; Dasan called himself as Migeongdang(味經 堂); The content was arranged by the ten and twelve celestial stems order. Dasan made source book of Mogminsimseo then corrected the articles while making the manuscript of Mogminsimseo. Also he changed some table of content and the title of article. Especially the manuscript of Mogminsimseo was completed in 1818 with 40 volumes, then finally finished in 1821 with 48 volumes according to the letter to Han Igsang. This means that Mogminsimseo was not the short time planned work but the long time planned masterpiece over 20 years. Dasan wrote Mogminsimseo as the complex of literature, history and philosophy not as the administrative manual. That`s the key point how to understand and translate Mogmin-simseo.
