      Dasan spent his lifetime to recover the true colors of Confucian classics what was called ``cultivating oneself and governing others``. As the result, he wrote a large amount of academic writings about Confucian classics. Those writings were creative while it was against the Neo-Confucianism. And he referred so many exegetical studies from early Qing dynasty. One of other features is originality. He tried to submit original views to accomplish recovering primitive Confucianism and to build academic background for social reform. It can be said that Dasan advanced new theories more than anybody since Han dynasty. In this paper, I selected his basic cognition and original views from his writings to provide upcoming scholars.
