가족특성과 노후준비의 관계 = 베이비붐 세대와 예비노인세대의 비교

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 베이비붐 세대의 노후준비에 영향을 미치는 가족특성의 분석을 통하여 베이비붐 세대의 노후준비를 위한 실천적 개입의 근거를 마련하기 위한 것이다. 이를 위하여 2011년 기준으로 조사한 중·장년층의 노후준비 실태조사 자료를 사용하여 분석하였다. 신체적, 경제적, 사회적 노후준비에 영향을 미치는 요인을 비교해 보기 위하여 베이비붐 세대(총 472명), 예비노인세대(총 203명)를 비교해 보았다. 연구결과, 신체적, 경제적, 사회적 노후준비 모든 수준에서 베이비붐 세대가 예비노인 세대는 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 베이비붐 세대는 신체적, 경제적, 사회적 노후준비 모든 영역에서는 ‘끼인 세대’적 특성이 나타났지만, 예비노인세대의 경우 신체적, 사회적 영역에서만 ‘끼인 세대’적 특성이 나타나 두 집단간 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 경제적 노후준비에서는 베이비붐 세대에서만 친부모과 배우자부모에 대한 부양부담, 그리고 자녀와의 관계만족도가 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나 예비노인과 비교되는 베이비붐 세대만의 ‘끼인 세대’적 특성을 뒷받침해 주었다. 이와 같은 연구결과를 가지고 베이비붐 세대의 노후준비에 대한 실천적 함의를 논의하였다.

The purposes of this study were i) to compare physical, financial and social preparation for later life between baby boomers and the pre-elderly, ii) to find the factors influencing preparation for later life including family characteristics, and iii) to seek practical implications for baby boomers. The data used for this study were from a Study on the senior people of retirement plan 2011. The data consisted of 472 baby boomers and 203 pre-elderly people. Results showed that there is no difference in physical, financial, and social preparation between baby boomer and pre-elderly populations. As a result of multiple regression analysis, characteristics of “caught generation” were appeared in physical, financial, and social preparation. In financial preparation, caregiving burden for their parents, caregiving burden for parents-in-law, and relationship satisfaction with their children were statistically significant variables to predict the preparation for later life. Based on these findings, the implications for social work intervention are discussed.
