Jose Vasconcelos was the ideologue of the winner part of the Mexican Revolution which was a civil war. He had intended to intergrate the nation. His ideological position was the fantasy of racism in the sense of the social darwinism whose ideas were put in the essay: ?La Raza Cosmica?(The Cosmic Race). In this essay, Vasconcelos tried to embrace the mexican people with the indigenous towards the national integration and spiritual values of the spanish traditional creolle cultures, with which the mexican people felt themselves comfortable and emphasized the hybrid mestizos with the glories of Azteca civilization. However, his ideological discourse showed the supremacy of the European racial vision and concealed the interests of the creolle dominant class and the status quo.
And his first enemies were the northamerican influences of the scientific and technological civilizations to Mexico and he attacked them with the spanish traditional cultures. He had performed the public educational and cultural policies for the first time in Mexico with the Muralist painters, etc. But he was nor Simon Bolivar neither Jose Marti. In this sense, however some people consider him as the first de-colonial pioneer in the Latin America, I don?t agree it. Because even though he had developed the policies of the cultural nationalism, he had made the ?desindigenization? of the mexican people as much as the mestizos as the indigenous who had forgotten their authentic cultural values due to the contradictory positions between the ideological discourse and the policies of cultural nationalism.
