초기 청소년기의 비행과 우울의 상호 인과관계 : 자귀회귀 교차지연 모형을 통한 검증

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 초기 청소년기의 비행과 우울 간의 인과관계를 밝히고자 이 두 변인들에 대한 자귀회귀 교차지연 모형(autoregressive cross-lagged model)을 구성하고 한국청소년패널(KYPS) 초등학교 4학년 1~4차년도 데이터에 대하여 구조방정식을 이용하여 실증적 검증을 실행하였다. 분석결과, 초기 청소년기의 이전 시점의 우울은 이후 시점의 우울 및 비행에, 그리고 이전 시점의 비행은 이후 시점의 비행과 우울에 각각 유의한 영향을 미침으로써 상호인과모델을 지지하는 것으로 확인되었다. 이러한 결과에 비추어 초기 청소년기의 비행과 우울 문제를 효과적으로 예방하고 치료하기 위해서는 두 문제 모두에 대한 통합적인 개입의 필요성이 강조된다고 볼 수 있을 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to examine the reciprocal effects between delinquency and depression in early adolescents. More specifically, this study developed and empirically tested an autoregressive cross-lagged model where longitudinal relations between the problems across time in ways that prior depression leads to subsequent depression and delinquency, and vice versa. The data of 2,844 adolescents, taken from the Korea Youth Panel Study (KYPS) of 4th graders, who were then followed for 4 years were analyzed using structural equation modeling. Our results suggested that prior depression had significant effects on subsequent depression and delinquency, and prior delinquency affected subsequent delinquency and depression, respectively controlling gender. These results imply that interventions integrating considerations for mental health and also considerations for externalized problems are needed.
