한국형 자기분화 척도 개발과 타당성에 관한 연구 = Korean Self-Differentiation Inventory: Development and Validation

Self-differentiation has been a major focus of family therapy research in Korea. However, existing measures of self-differentiation, whether developed within Korea or translated into Korean, offer limited information about estimates of their reliability and validity. Accordingly, this study aimed to develop the Korean Self-Differentiation Inventory (KSDI) and to establish its reliability and validity. The data for developing and validating the scale were collected from 763 adults through self-administered questionnaires. The 90-item Symptom Checklist (SCL-90) was used for testing the validity, and exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses were performed for developing the scale and for validating the factor structure. The results indicated strong reliability and validity for the KSDI and highlighted five subscales: “emotional reactivity,” “I-position,” “emotional fusion,” “emotional cutoff,” and “fusion with others.” The “emotional fusion” subscale was regarded as a factor uniquely applicable to Korean people. Implications were discussed for future research.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

자기분화는 Bowen의 다세대 가족치료의 핵심 개념으로서, 국내외의 수많은 경험적 연구의 초점이 되어 왔을 뿐 아니라 가족치료 임상현장에서 개인 및 가족의 역동평가의 주요 도구로 사용되어 왔다. 그러나 우리나라에서 사용되고 있는 대부분의 자기분화 척도는 신뢰성이나 타당성의 문제가 있는 것으로 지적되었다. 따라서 본 연구는 우리나라의 가족중심적 집단주의 문화를 반영한 자기분화 척도를 개발하고 그 신뢰성과 타당성을 검증하고자 하였다. 본 연구 자료는 본 조사(기혼남녀 763명), 재검사를 위한 조사(141명), 비교집단 조사 (47명)등 세 차례에 걸쳐 자기보고식 질문지를 통해 수집되었다. 자기분화에 대한 이론적 개념 및 기존의 국내외 척도를 바탕으로 문항을 구성하고 탐색적 및 확인적 요인분석을 통해 척도를 개발한 결과에 의하면, 자기분화 척도는 ‘정서적 반응’과 ‘자기입장’의 하위요인으로 구성된 심리내적 차원, ‘정서적 단절’과 ‘타인과의 융합’이라는 하위요인으로 구성된 대인관계적 차원, 그리고 두 차원을 통합하는 ‘정서적 융합’이라는 5개 하위척도를 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 내적 합치도 및 검사-재검사에 의한 신뢰도 검증, 자기분화 하위척도와 정신진단검사의 하위요인과의 상관관계 분석, 그리고 비교집단과의 자기분화수준의 차이분석을 통한 타당도 검증 결과 본 연구에서 개발한 자기분화 척도가 신뢰성과 타당성을 확보한 척도임이 검증되었다.
