The purpose of the present study was to develope forgiveness facilitation program and investigate its effectiveness. This study included subjects who had deep and unfair personal hurt experiences from their social relationships. The subjects were divided into 2 groups: Experimental Group(8 subjects) and Waiting Group B(7 subjects). The results of the research are as follows: In the case of Experimental Group, after the program intervention, degree of forgiveness and self-esteem increased significantly, and degree of anxiety and anger decreased. However, the statistical significance was not found due to the lack of samples. The results of post-test indicated consistancy in the forgiveness, while self-esteem decreased. In general, the results of post-test maintained. In the case of Waiting Group, there was no difference in the post-test during the waiting period, but after administering the program, forgiveness increased significantly. Self-esteem also increased although there was no significance in statistics. The degree of anxiety and anger decreased. While the degree of anger change had statistical significance, but the degree of anxiety change had no statistical significance. It was estimated that there was no statistical significance due to the lack of samples. More than anything else, it was to find the caracteristics of behavioral reactions according to the forgiving process through this study. And, through analysis of program process, positive changes were witnessed through administering the program. Through the present research, it was confirmed that forgiveness is an important factor of sound self and interpersonal relation formation. Lastly, some implications and limitations of the present study, and implications for future research are drawn.
