어려운 국악, 절반의 책임은 한문 = Difficult Traditional Music, Half of the Responsibility is Chinese Characters

국문 초록 (Abstract)

아나운서로서 서양 고전음악 프로그램과 우리의 전통음악 프로그램을 모두 다년간 진행했다. 청취자나 진행자들이 모두 우리의 전통음악을 서양음악보다 어렵게 느끼는데, 그 까닭은 우리 전통음악 속의 한자나 한문, 역사 속의 유행이나 풍속 등을 알지 못해서 그런 것이다. 기악곡조차도 우리의 전통음악의 선율이 서양 고전음악의 선율보다 낯설게 느껴진다. 이 낯설음을 친숙하게 만들 수 있는 문화적 맥락을 알려주는 해설원고가 필요하다. 그것은 한문학 전공자들이 가장 많은 도움을 줄 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 국악 대중화의 어려움을 해소하고 창작국악이 견고한 뿌리를 바탕으로 발전하기 위해서는 국악에 대한 전반적인 연구가 이루어져야하는데 이를 풀어내는 열쇠는 한문학이라고 생각한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

As an announcer, I have hosted a traditional Korean music program as well as a western classical music program for years. I found both audience and host thought traditional Korean music was difficult to understand. The reason may bethat they are not familiar with Chinese words or sentences, old traditions and customs contained in the lyrics of the traditional music. Even without the lyrics, the music itself often sounds very unfamiliar to most of the audience. For this reason, an easy and friendly script explaining the cultural context of the music is essentially needed. In that sense, the experts who studied Chinese literature would be able to contribute to solving this problem. To overcome the difficulty of popularization of traditional Korean music and to help original Korean music to be strongly rooted and developed, broad and through research about traditional music is needed, for which Chinese literature is the key contributor to this process.
