가족의 역기능적 의사소통과 대인관계 능력 : 자아존중감의 매개효과를 중심으로 = Dysfunctional Family Communication and Interpersonal Competence: Mediating Effects of Self-Esteem

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 가족의 역기능적 의사소통과 대인관계 능력 간의 관계 에서 자아존중감의 매개효과를 검증하는 것이다. 연구대상으로는 서울시내 거주 하는 중학교 남녀학생(n=352)을 대상으로 하였고, SPSS 17.0과 AMOS 7.0을 사용하여 구조방정식 모형을 통해 자료를 분석하였다. 연구모형의 매개효과를 검증하기 위해서는 부스트랩(bootstrap)기법을 적용하여 간접효과 검증을 하였다. 연구결과, 가족의 역기능적 의사소통이 자아존중을 매개로 하여 청 소년의 대인관계 능력에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 간접효과가 유의 한 가운데 대인관계 능력 에 대한 가족의 역기능적 의사소통은 직접효과를 나 타내었다. 이러한 곁과는 가족의 의사소통 방식이 부정적이고 왜곡되어 질 수록 청소년의 자신에 대한 긍정적 평가가 약화되기 쉽기 때문에, 타인과의 상호작용을 통한 지지, 갈등해결 등의 사회적 능력에 부정적인 영향을 미치게 된다는 점을 의미해 준다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to investigate the mediating effects of self-esteem on the relationship between dysfunctional family communication and interpersonal competence. The data were collected from middle school students in Seoul(n=352), and the data was then analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling by means of SPSS 17.0 and AMOS 7.0. Our results demonstrated that dysfunctional family communication influences interpersonal competence through self-esteem. In addition, dysfunctional family communication has a direct influence on interpersonal competence. Thus, these results proved the partial mediating effects of self-esteem. This suggests that negative and distorted way of family communication led to reduced self-esteem which in turn, affected negative effects on interpersonal competence. Implications were discussed based on the study results.
