다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract) kakao i 다국어 번역

The social psychological approach to the field of voting behavior holds that the individual's attitudes are the most immediate determinants of voting behavior. With respect to vote choice, this approach focuses on three clusters of attitudes ; partisanship, issue attitudes, and candidate evalutions.
This article begins with an examination of two classical questions of voting behavior research ; what are the determinants of the vote choice and what is their relative importance? Recursive and nonrecursive models of vote choice are considered as are the conceptual and methodological problems inherent in measuring the determinants of vote choice and in separating out their effects on the vote decision.
Among various findings from electoral or survey research data there were sharp contrasts between the high individul-level stability of party identification and the more labile individual preferences on major political issues of the day. The theoretical significance of these counter-intuitive results is discussed.
The reconceptualization, model specification and the reviewing these controversies aim to suggest that the empirical realities of voting behavior are nowhere nearly as disjunctive and confusing as cursory readings of the literature imply.
