This study posits that the essence of conflict between large enterprises and SMEs is rooted in structural risks stemming from “dependency-based power imbalances” and empirically elucidates its temporal diffusion patterns through a dynamic mechanism. Based on 15 years of news data (2010~2024), we conducted PCMCI time-series causal inference integrated with BERTopic analysis and FDR correction. The results indicate a structural shift in the focal point of conflict from traditional subcontracting to the distribution and platform sectors. Notably, discourse surrounding the policy and regulatory environment, which accounts for 66~80% of the total volume, was found to function as an “institutional buffer zone” that mitigates the direct escalation of conflict.
Causal verification reveals distinct temporal dynamics: while unfair practices in distribution and platforms propagate into macro-level external shocks with a five-month time lag, subcontracting conflicts exhibit significant self-perpetuating inertia within one to two months, tending toward short-term entrenchment. Furthermore, a phenomenon of “causal de-synchronization” was observed, where causal links between agendas weaken over time, suggesting that conflict is becoming increasingly fragmented and individualized within the industrial ecosystem. Based on these findings, the 1~5-month window of conflict transmission is proposed as the “optimal intervention window” for mediated settlement. Consequently, this study recommends transitioning from ex-post punitive regulations to institutionalizing “fast-track” negotiation processes led by private mediation bodies, supported by data-driven preventive governance.
