This study aims to analyze the nature of science(NOS) reflected in the achievement standards and textbooks of the Integrated Science subject under the 2022 revised science curriculum. The analysis employed a reconceptualized framework of NOS based on a family resemblance approach. Specifically, it examined the NOS elements embedded in the achievement standards and textbooks, as well as how the NOS reflected in the standards was implemented in the textbooks. As a result, the achievement standards of the Integrated Science subject faithfully reflected the NOS, although the extent of this reflection varied depending on the characteristics of the subject. The textbooks for Integrated Science reflected a more diverse range of NOS elements than the achievement standards, with a particularly high proportion related to the socio-institutional system. Among the various learning elements, inquiry activities most prominently reflected the nature of science, followed by the main texts and reading materials, which also showed a significant presence of NOS. Based on these findings, the study suggests the need for further analysis of other science subjects, as well as the importance of effectively utilizing and restructuring instructional components to better incorporate the NOS.
