섹스이데올로기, 젠더이데올로기, 그리고 트랜스젠더주의에 대한 신학적 평가 및 전망 = Theological Evaluation and Prospects of Sex Ideology, Gender Ideology, and Transgenderism

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 논문은 성혁명의 뿌리가 되는 섹스이데올로기와 젠더이데올로기 사이의 개념을 보다 명확하게 구분하여서 각각의 대표자인 알프레드 킨제이와 존 머니를 중심으로 분석하였다. 아울러 21세기 “젠더(gender)”개념은 사회적으로 구성되는 개념이라고 주장 되고 있지만, 이 또한 생물학적 섹스와 결코 분리될 수 없고 이 두 개념이 상호보완적 관계에 있음을 인지해야 함을 주장하였다. 이어서 “성혁명”의 역사에 대하여 간략하게 짚어봄으로써 21세기 트랜스젠더주의가 나오기까지의 배경을 살펴보고, 이 사상의 철학적 뿌리를 제공하는 주디스 버틀러의 주장들을 비판적으로 검토하였다. 결론으로 이에 대한 기독교적 비판을 제시하였는데, 하나님의 창조에 기초한 남녀의 이분법적 구분은 필연적일 뿐만 아니라, 성(sex)을 비롯한 남녀의 바른 관계는 그리스도 안에서 회복된 참 인간됨의 구속적 시각으로 접근하여 하나님의 본래적 선하신 뜻을 가르치는 것이 중요하다는 주장으로 끝을 맺었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This article seeks to clarify the conceptual distinction between sex ideology and gender ideology - the roots of the so-called “sexual revolution” - by focusing on their respective representatives, Alfred Kinsey and John Money. Furthermore, it argues that although the concept of “gender” in the twenty-first century is widely claimed to be socially constructed, it cannot be separated from biological sex, and that the two must be recognized as standing in a complementary relationship. The study also briefly traces the history of the “sexual revolution” in order to examine the background leading up to twentyfirst-century transgenderism, and offers a critical engagement with the arguments of Judith Butler, who has provided the philosophical underpinnings for this movement. In conclusion, the dissertation presents a Christian critique, contending that the binary distinction between male and female, grounded in God’s creation, is not only necessary but also essential. Moreover, it emphasizes that sex and the proper relationship between men and women must be approached from the redemptive perspective of true humanity restored in Christ, in order to teach God’s original good design.
