The purpose of this study was to examine the factors influencing educational satisfaction among retired athletes with disabilities participating in employment education programs and to provide foundational evidence for improving such programs. Specifically, this study analyzed the effects of participation frequency, timing of participation, satisfaction with program participation, and the perceived need for program improvement on educational satisfaction following participation in employment education programs for retired athletes with disabilities.
For data analysis, descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and regression analysis were conducted. The results indicated that participation frequency, timing of participation, and the perceived need for program improvement had significant positive effects on educational satisfaction. Among these variables, the perceived need for program improvement showed the greatest influence. These findings highlight the importance of employment education programs for retired athletes with disabilities.
This study is expected to provide foundational data not only for educational support but also for improving the practical lives of retired athletes with disabilities by promoting long-term support systems rather than short-term assistance.
Furthermore, it may contribute to expanding employment opportunities for retired athletes with disabilities through the utilization of public infrastructure, government-level employment support, and entrepreneurship support initiatives.
