This study aims to develop and validate a career suitability diagnostic test for university students. Grounded in the person-environment fit (P-E Fit) theory, it proceeded in three phases. First, four components and 16 sub-factors were derived through a literature review. Second, content validity was verified by 13 experts, resulting in 80 initial items. Third, data from 605 university students in a metropolitan area were analyzed and randomly split into exploratory factor analysis (n=302) and confirmatory factor analysis (n=303). The results confirmed a valid 72-item scale comprising four components: career fit strength, career flow experience, career mindset, and work environment preferences. The test demonstrated satisfactory validity and reliability. This instrument provides a multidimensional framework for diagnosing person-environment fit and offers empirical data to help students navigate complex career environments and build self-directed career paths.
