다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract) kakao i 다국어 번역

This paper discusses the historical records concerning the expulsion of Buyeo by the Wuji (勿吉, Mulgil) in the late fifth century, including Goguryeo’s response, and reconsiders previous studies on the Wuji’s location. It also reexamines the so-called “Plot to Divide Jidouyu (地豆于),” which has received particular attention in previous studies as a countermeasure strategy against the Wuji. It suggests that Goguryeo was engaged in trade with the Shiwei (室韋) and other groups in this region, and that through the subordinated position of Later Buyeo in the intermediary area, it was likely also connected to Dumolu (豆莫婁). While earlier research has proposed various theories regarding the relationship between Dumolu and Buyeo, this study shifts the focus to the nature of the “Account of Dumolu” in the Weishu . It argues that the account primarily reflects information transmitted to the Northern Wei from Goguryeo’s perspec-tive utilized hostile propaganda against the Wuji.
The political linkage between Dumolu and Buyeo have persisted even after the eighth century. Fundamentally, this continuity was grounded in the political exchanges and trade networks that had developed prior to the fifth century along the routes through which Goguryeo, via Buyeo, established contact with groups such as Dumolu, Shiwei, and Jidouyu.
