웹3.0 플랫폼과 출판의 미래 모델 연구 = A Study on Web 3.0 Platforms and Future Models of Publishing

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 플랫폼 기업 중심의 중앙집중형 출판 유통 구조가 초래한 창작자 소외와 수익 배분의 불투명성을 극복하기 위해 웹3.0 기술을 활용한 지속 가능한 출판 모델을 탐색하였다. 미러(Mirror), 패러그래프(Paragraph), 조라(Zora), 파운데이션(Foundation) 등 주요 웹3.0 콘텐츠 플랫폼 사례 분석과 전문가 심층면접을 통해 변화 양상을 실증적으로 검토하였다. 연구 결과, 웹3.0 출판은 콘텐츠를 온체인 자산으로 전환하고 스마트 계약을 통해 가격과 로열티를 자동화함으로써 중개자 없는 투명한 수익 분배를 가능하게 함을 확인하였다. 기존의 일방향적 출판 구조는 창작·민팅·소유·재판매·큐레이션이 순환하는 생태계로 재편되며, 독자는 소유자이자 거버넌스 참여자로 확장된다. 본 연구는 창작자의 IP 주권 회복과 커뮤니티 기반 가치 확장을 핵심으로 하는 탈중앙화 출판 생태계의 대안적 모델을 제시한다.

This study explores a sustainable future model of publishing based on Web 3.0 technologies as an alternative to the centralized, platform-driven distribution structure that has led to creator marginalization and opaque revenue sharing. Through case analyses of major Web 3.0 content platforms—such as Mirror, Paragraph, Zora, and Foundation—and in-depth interviews with experts, the study empirically examines emerging transformations in publishing. The findings show that Web 3.0 publishing enables content to function as on-chain assets and uses smart contracts to automate pricing and royalties, allowing for intermediary-free and transparent revenue distribution. The traditional one-way structure of production, distribution, and consumption is reconfigured into a cyclical ecosystem encompassing creation, minting, ownership, resale, and curation, in which readers expand their roles as owners and participants in governance. This study proposes a decentralized publishing model centered on the restoration of creators’ IP sovereignty and community-based value expansion.
