This study aimed to examine the structural relationships among grit, self-efficacy, learning transfer, and intention to persist in studies among adult learners in a digital learning environment. The results showed that grit had a significant positive effect on self-efficacy. self-efficacy, in turn, positively influenced both learning transfer and intention to persist in studies. Although grit had a significant positive effect on intention to persist in studies, its direct effect on learning transfer was not supported. Mediation analysis revealed that self-efficacy partially mediated the relationship between grit and intention to persist in studies and fully mediated the relationship between grit and learning transfer. This study highlights the importance of educational support strategies that focus on enhancing grit and self-efficacy.
