수남방옹 정훈의 연시조 창작과 시조사적 의미 = Sunambangong Jeong Hun’s Yeonsijo : Creative Practice and Its Significance in the History of Sijo Poetry

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 17세기 남원 문인 수남방옹(水南放翁) 정훈(鄭勳, 1563∼1640)을 연시조 작가로서 새롭게 조명하는 데에 있다. 1973년에 󰡔수남방옹유고󰡕가 학계에 소개된 이래 정훈이 창작한 연시조는 학계에 알려지지 못했다. 2024년에 가사와 시조 한역가가 수록된 󰡔수남방옹집(水南放翁集)󰡕이 발굴되며 수남방옹 시가의 규모가 학계에 드러났다. 이 가운데 총 6제 28수의 연시조 한역가가 새로 발견되어 정훈을 연시조 작가로서 주목할 필요성이 제기되었다. 이러한 필요성에 부응하고자 본고가 마련되었다.
수남방옹 연시조가 본고에서 처음 다뤄지므로 작품을 분석하기 앞서 연시조 한역가 현전 현황을 제2장에 정리했다. 아울러 제3장의 논의 방향을 설정하기 위해 작품을 주제별로 분류했다. 이어 제3장에서는 제2장의 주제 분류에 따라 작품을 ‘부정적 현실 대응 연시조’와 ‘생활 감정 표출 연시조’로 나누어 내용과 구성을 살피며 특징을 분석했다. 제4장에서는 제3장의 작품 분석 결과를 자료로 삼아 정훈의 연시조 창작의 시조사적 의미를 고찰했다. 이로써 정훈이 연시조 작가로서 시가사에 자리하는 시작이 마련되기를 기대한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to reassess the literary status of Sunambangong Jeong Hun(1563–1640), a seventeenth-century literatus from Namwon, by newly positioning him as a poet of yeonsijo(linked sijo). Since the introduction of Sunambangongyugo to academic scholarship in 1973, Jeong Hun’s yeonsijo compositions have remained largely unknown. The recent discovery in 2024 of Sunambangongjip, which includes Sino-Korean translations of gasa and sijo, has revealed the full scope of Sunambangong’s poetic corpus. Among these materials, six thematic sets comprising twenty-eight pieces of yeonsijo in Sino-Korean translation were newly identified, raising the necessity of recognizing Jeong Hun as a significant yeonsijo poet. This article is intended to address that need.
As Sunambangong’s yeonsijo are examined here for the first time, Chapter 2 surveys the extant status of the newly discovered yeonsijo translations prior to textual analysis. In addition, the works are classified thematically to establish the analytical framework of Chapter 3. Chapter 3 analyzes the content and structure of the poems by dividing them into two categories: yeonsijo critiquing negative social realities and yeonsijo expressing sentiments of everyday life. Based on these analyses, Chapter 4 considers the significance of Jeong Hun’s yeonsijo within the literary history of sijo. Through this discussion, the study seeks to lay the groundwork for situating Jeong Hun within the broader history of Korean poetic tradition as a yeonsijo poet.
