This study investigates the role of extended reality (XR) technology in MICE competitiveness by examining the relationships among satisfaction, behavioral intention, and competitiveness. Survey data were collected from participants of the 2025 Korea MICE Expo (KME) and Jeju MICE Expo (JME), and 251 valid responses were analyzed using SPSS 22. The results show that perceived necessity and experience quality of XR technology significantly influence satisfaction, while perceived usefulness has limited effects. Satisfaction positively affects behavioral intention, and behavioral intention has a significant positive effect on MICE competitiveness. Furthermore, the findings highlight the importance of experience-centered XR design in improving overall MICE performance. These results suggest that XR technology contributes to MICE competitiveness by strengthening participant experiences and behavioral responses, and provide practical implications for XR-based MICE strategies.
