    The Yongin Seori kiln site is the largest and longest-operated kiln site in Korea, and its well-preserved remains make it a valuable resource for studying the history of ceramics. This article analyzes the excavation results of a Goryeo-period kiln site in Seori, Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, and aims to restore the landscape to its original state. The findings can be summarized as follows: First, the 83-meter-long Yongin Seori kiln, known as the longest kiln structure in Korea, was confirmed to be the result of repeated vertical contractions of several earthen kilns, each 40 meters or smaller, at the same point.
    Second, the construction sequence of the kilns suggests that the Brick-built Kiln(塼築窯) was initially constructed at a distance of 9 to 49 meters, and operated for approximately 50 years after undergoing several repairs. It is estimated that the Clay-built Kiln(土築窯) was operated from the topmost space of 83m in length, and that it was operated for about 150 years while the upper part of the pre-cast kiln was abandoned, moved down, and remodeled with a water wheel.
    Third, it is judged that the kiln construction method changed in the relative order of‘Bricks(early Brick-built Kiln) → A mixture of Bricks and Mud(late Brick-built Kiln) → Mud(early Clay-built Kiln) → A mixture of Mud and Saggar(late Clay-built Kiln) ’and that the pottery industry continued.
    Fourth, the factors that allowed the Seori kiln in Yongin to operate for a long time of about 200 years were found to be the location of the kiln, the space on the flat land where buildings and workshops could be operated, and the operation of a pottery kiln presumed to have existed before the Seori kiln. However, it is highly likely that various factors were present, such as the possibility of smooth procurement of firewood and porcelain clay, the problem of a transportation route leading to easy sales, and the presence of a powerful force behind the scenes.
    Fifth, the Yongin Seori kiln site was found to have a wide area of tile-roofed buildings and a workshop with a wall made of saggars, and in particular, the fact that a large number of royal ritual vessels such as ‘Bo(簠)’ and ‘Gye(簋)’ were produced suggests that the kilns differ in nature from those found in other regions.
